Our Presidents have recognized the importance of trees throughout our history. George Washington, the first President of the United States, famously planted a grove of trees at his Mount Vernon estate.
Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President, created the first national park, Yellowstone, to protect its natural beauty for future generations.
